I'm curious to know this... but does every single course in a uni all start at the same time and end at the same time like high school? say 9AM to 3PM?

I can't possibly think what the trains and buses would be like with say 10000 students or so exiting and entering at the same time!

It's similar to school, in that you have certain subjects on certain days at certain times, and you only need to show up whenever you have a class/tutorial/lecture.
None of this 9 - 3 business.
Oh, and there's no uniform either. :)

No, you get the semester's timetable with all your course lectures and tutes on there... you have so many options to go to.... where some are doubles and for certain classes only. It's very flexible and its not that frequent.

Engos have some of the most, along with sciences.

lol.

to offer a serious answer though, no every course has the same number of contact hours either. and even in the same course, not everyone will have the same timetable.
ie, i did the exact same units as someone else in my course last year. i was lucky enough to have a three day a week timetable, while she had five days.

massive lol thread though.

And remember, even people doing the same course don't necessarily have the elective class. This alters even similar students timetables.
