It sounded like an OK thing to join today, but i'm not so sure about having my name associated with anything that has the word 'union' in the title, being the stauch Liberal I am.

OMG i am so tired from the day especially with the trackwork..but it was worth it.

My friends and I had a great time both at USYD AND UTS...didn't get many free stuff cause we couldn't be bothered chatting with random people and it was packed.

UTS seemed a little bit more interactive and entertaining but UYSD has such a pretty campus IMO compared with the drab building of UTS

anyways, who's going to the UNSW open day next week?

If you come to usyd buy the access card. its $99 and you're guarenteed to save money...

i didn't and i regret it. just today i could have bought a large flat white if i had the card.

and i think usyd union is in a better off position than most other unions because the university is partly funding it. the union puts on sexy time and good things, while the SRC is the shite part although they'll help you out if u get in legal/financial/academic troubles

so yeah, join the union. its not a communist conspiracy

I want free stuff.

All I got at the open day for UNSW here a while ago was a name tag that split my last name into two words, it was a rofl so I stuck it on my door.

Otherwise nothing, plus the place shut down. What a mess. Good thing I wasn't interested in going there anyway.

this was my first time going , so yeah - but my friends who went last year said last year's one was a lot better too.
i couldnt find any usyd pens dammit.

oh and uts ? even though outside it may look ... a lil dead .. inside its actually really nice !

UTS was more enlightening than USYD.
When I first walked into USYD's courtyard, the scottish music/dancing and the stalls on the grass with the medieval buildings in the background made it all seem like I was walking onto the set of 'The Antiques Roadshow". My friends and I sat on one of those tables they had set up opposite the music stage for about an hour for no apparent reason..
But i did get to walk away with this really cool silver key chain from the international house of sydney stand
Then we just left and walked around the city, then walked back because my car was parked near Ultimo Tafe.
