UAI's of around 88-93? (1 Viewer)

Hey, to those of you who got around UAI 88-93.
could you please post your hsc marks for me?

I just want to compare because i feel completely screwed over!

I got UAI of 89.85.
2 Band 6's and 5 Band 5's.

Why is the topic heading "UAI's of around 79-84?" when you're requesting people from 88-93? What subjects did you do? What UAI did you think you would attain?

the reason i brought the issue up so late cause i just recently typed my marks in SAM and i go a prediction of 91.90. I thought this was quite a big diff and i kind of got ticked off.

(I got mid to high band 5s and low 6s)

Not too sure about the heading but i intended it to be 88-93

well SAM isnt perfect - its impossible to accurately predict a uai anyway if its below 98 because the distribution is bunched up more.

Your absolutely right, but its quite a big diff and thats why i brought it up

hmmm, still however, u wont be able to compare with other people's marks unless you get their subjects (to note the effects of scaling and weightings), the year that they completed their HSC (this can be a significant change too), and the exact mark for each of them.

im lead to believe that these are some of the major influences on the calculation of the UAI.

You really have to be more specific... some subjects don't have alot of data, so can be hard to model.

-english, being compulsory, wouldn't have been good news for your uai.
-d+t, SOR1 and society scale pretty badly
-languages usually do well and its probbaly why you got so close to 90

now go to sleep and forget about year 12!

UAI: 89.85

JUAIseek0405 gives 90.5 with 04 data... 05 data should be pretty similar.

I think you may have entered it into SAM wrong. What did SAM give you?

hm... that's a largeish error. But not unreasonable. I don't think you should worry about it too much.
