What's your school's ranking?

Your school's ranking has a huge influence on UAI estimates.

math and bio are average marks really.

also just your trial marks aren't enough. do you know how you're doing assessment wise in your classes? if you're getting above 75 consistently in everything it's not too bad. but still the fact that you failed three of your five trials is not a good indicator for the HSC.

what UAI were you aiming to get?

you really need to pull up your marks in the HSC.

scaling will affect those marks and pull you down. particularly chemistry and modern.

study really really hard and you might get >60. it doesn't look good right now.

I'd be more optimistic and say 65-70 - English and Maths will bring you up and I wouldn't think overall you'd be below the state average. A bit surprising that you can be close to the top ten with 43% though - that's slightly worrying.
erm.

no.

bad marks in three subjects (ie when he's failing) pull the good work he's done with math and english quite far down. there is no way in hell he'd get a 70 with those marks.
