Can I get an estimate from you guys?

Eng Adv: ~100/132 (roughly there)
Mathematics: 33/103
Mathematics Extension 1: 46/60
Business Studies: 6/27
Economics: 7/17
Physics: ~30something/46 (rough estimate)

What I want for my subjects:

High band 5, low band 6: Mathematics, Business Studies and Economics
E3: Mathematics Extension 1
High band 4, low band 5: English Advance and Physics

School has ranged from a rank of 23rd to 40th in the last few years. From what I heard, half the grade gets over 90.

Reckon I can get over 90?

well, your ranks are pretty shitty, but nonetheless, i'd put you at 87.

Yeah I realise that. I haven't done much studying. Aiming to do a lot for external.

I'll still be happy with 87 though.

I'll give more stats:

Maths Ext: ~top 50 gets E3+.
Maths: Top 25 get band 6, so I shouldn't be too far off.
Business Studies: Top 6 normally get band 6.
Economics: top 5ish gets band 6.
Physics: a lot of the grade get band 5.
English: ~three quarters get band 5 and above I think.

so two kids, A and B, from a school ranked in the 30s, transfer to a school ranked in the top 5, and they both study an accelarated course which scales pretty well.

they both did their hsc for this accelarated subject last year.

anyway, so A's final rank is ~15/80-100 something, getting 90's, and B's rank is 40-50/80-100, and is getting around on the average, ~75-80%

but guess what?

B ended up BLITZING the hsc. srsly pwning it.
A did pretty well.

they both ended up getting ~92 for their final hsc mark for chem.


sounds pretty crazy. but it's a true story. hope it helps
