Just a query. Can anyone tell me where i can find the UAI cut offs from previous years?? Yeh i know frmot he UAC guide frmo previous years, but maybe there is a list somewhere on the internet. So yeh, it would be greatly appreciated ^^

yeh it shows last years only, why do u wanna know previous years - they have no bearing on what it will be this year

BTW who cares what the cutoffs are, put down the course u want to do most first, even if u have no chace of getting it!!!

2003 onwards, use http://www.archive.org/ and go on the old pages from UAC and download the cut-offs pdfs.

I actually wanted the ones for USyd. But anyhow, looks like I'll have to do an estimate based on the UNSW ones.

cutoffs are the lowest UAI that was allowed into the course, without special consideration.

say theres 20 spots in a course.
3 people get entrance through special consideration.

the 17th person they offer entrance to will be the UAI they put as the cut off.

it really just depends on the calibre of the students and the popularity of the course.

Whenever there is an economic downturn or a recession, the UAI cutoff will be higher. So i suppose in 2009, the cutoffs will be somewhat higher. This is true because ppl can't find jobs and they turn to education.
