some interesting things to note for those that don't want to read:

Offers made in 2007: 59 312
Offers made in 2006: 56 131
(Approx a 5% increase!)
1600 of those 5% are CSP offers (i.e. HECS)

There has been a general reduction (and stability) of cutoffs across the board.
Mr Stanton said:
“Cut-offs for the very high demand universities and courses don’t change a lot from year to year, but for
the majority of courses this year the UAI cut-off has remained stable or decreased from last year.”
There have, however, been 1500 more applications for university than last year.

UAC expects that there will be vacancies in over 650 CSP courses and over 350 DFEE courses for the later rounds (this is huge!)

Last year 6665 offers were made in the late round.

it makes sense, though.
UAC said about 10k will miss out in NSW, alone.
