Ippen, Shin de Miru?
Hi all. My name's Robin and I'm offering tuition for 2U and 3U Maths. I graduated in 2007 with a UAI of 93.2 and just finished the first year of my Mechanical Engineering/Science degree, so I'm doing uni level maths and science right now.
HSC Marks:
Advanced English: 76
3U Maths: 93
4U Maths: 87
Physics: 86
Chemistry: 80
UAI: 93.20
In maths, I specialise in differentiation and integration and can show you lil tricks that will make what usually is a tedious process become a painless process instead.
I will generally teach at a pace faster than most schools. This is to cover the subject quickly and effectively, allowing my students to start doing past papers as early as possible. This ensures that my students are comfortable with HSC style questions and know exactly how to answer such questions in order to maximise their mark. Covering the subject material at a faster pace will also give my students a boost in confidence when facing school maths assessments. However, should you feel the need, I'm also happy to go along at a regular school's pace.
Rather than teaching in a teacher/student relationship, I strive for a friend/friend relationship instead. I understand that the HSC is one of the most important, and hence stressful times that many of you will face and aim to make the tuition sessions as enjoyable as possible. I care about my students' marks, but I'm also interested their general welfare, and I'm keen to both maximise my students' marks and preserve their wellbeing.
Prices are now negotiable and the first lesson is free. I'm also happy to offer tuition for prelim maths courses. (Again, negotiable prices and free first lesson.) Altho maths is my specialty, I might also consider offering physics tuition if there is a high demand.
I live in Maroubra and it takes about fifteen minutes for me to get to uni, so I'm happy to travel to places in between those two areas. I'm also happy to travel to nearby areas like Maroubra Beach, as long as it's within reason, since I don't drive.
It's best to contact me by email: lu_xun_ad@msn.com
Places are limited, as I have to juggle this with uni, so drop me an email if you're interested.
