Everybody ready??

I am, sadly, not..........

And, surprisingly, I'm not one bit stressed. Am I normal? And I have done hardly any study :uhoh: I mean, they only count towards assesment marks but some of them are disgusting, especially in Science. Especially for a top class student......

Ah well, any replies would be good

Have fun :)

By trials do you mean... yearlies?
yea I think that is what robibro means. My school, yearly = trials except that in trials, exam conditions are enforced more where as in other exams, it is barely enforced. They are basically designed to get you prepared for external exams, i.e. SC and HSC

I'm kind of feeling the same thing. I know that I'm nowhere near as well prepared as I should be, but for some weird reason, this time around I'm not motivated enough. I'm trying to study, but end up doing other work.

Are the dates for the trials different from school to school?
My trials start on the first day back in Term 4..

I haven't started studying yet.

:eek: Umm;
It's external, right? Not at your school but somewhere else, like the real SC?

they are tests made up by different places, which the school buys.

they are like "practice" school certificates

so basically we have them for English, HSIE, Maths, Science and Computing Skills

I know that... What I'm curious about is whether the Trial SC is done outside of school externally just like the real SC.
If it is, I wonder why we have it on different dates?

So do mine.

And me too. I'll study in the holidays.

I'm more worried about my yearlies than SC, to be honest. Our yearlies are heaps harder than the actual SC.

What do you mean? There are different yearly exams across different schools. Your school devises them, not the BoS.

Not yearlies, the trial school certificate exams. Although my school does use the marks from trial SC papers as our "yearly exam" mark in the report, it's still a different concept.. isn't it? I don't have to do yearly exams for the five SC subjects because they get my marks from the trials, and the rest of the subjects like PD, RE and electives, we do a school-devised yearly exam.

don't worry about the trial school certificate because it only counts towards school marks. it's the actual school certificate you need to worry about and even that doesn't really matter in the long run DON'T STRESS
