AD. Eng = 64 middle of the pack out of 120ish
Economics= 78 ??
Mod. History = 69 average im guessing
Gen. Maths = 82 14/53 only 3 above 90
PDHPE= 62 7/40 only 2 ppl got above 68

The second English paper and PD tests were quite hard in my opinion.

I'm OK with my results. Definatley room for improvement but no nasty surprises which is good. Actually, there were a few nice surprises, ie, Maths, legal, and extension all of which I was about to suicide over. Yet to get Paper 2 back. Damn english faculty. Not that there will be anything to look forward too.

English Paper 1-- 84% (13/15 for short answers, 12/15 for CW, and 13/15 for essay)

SOR1-- 94%

General Maths-- 65% LOLllllllllLLl

Business-- 81%

Economics-- 74%

Legal-- 81%

Extension Eng-- 80%

Aaaaaaaaand Ranks:

English N/A

SOR1-- 3/90 O/A... I was freaking 1st up until the trials, but no, I had to lose 3 marks.

General Maths-- 7/90 for the exam.. I'm not sure about overall though

Business-- 3/21 O/A

Economics-- 9/12

Legal-- 5/11 for the exam, 4/11 O/A

Extension English-- 6/8 O/A

My ranks are shit. But my school is smart, that makes a difference, right? My results are OK.. gahhh I don't know. I wish my ranks were better. Theres not much in it for extension, only a few mrks seperate 1st and last, so that's OK?? For eco, there is about 2 between me and 8th, and then 2 all the way up to 1st. but below me there is a gap of about 6ish. Man, I read into this stuff wayy to much lol.

Wow, I'd kill for some of these marks...especially 97% in chemistry

I completely stuffed up my trials, but then I can't really expect to go very well seeing as I don't actually do anything...except procrastinate.

english adv. --- 78% (probably about 20/53...meh it's only english)
maths adv. --- 82% (6/22...grrr I've come first in every other assessment)
chemistry --- 87% (5/18...see maths for whiny comment)
biology --- 91% (2/35...yay I'm actually happy with that result)

There's probably another thread for this but meh. I was just wondering if there's anyone out there like me who has procrastinated the year away, doesn't have any notes on the syllabus dot points for any of their subjects, has fluked all their assessmets and is absolutely, positively, utterly and completely screwed for the HSC exams?...please tell me there is

Fine then, ill start us off...

English Advanced: 93% 1st
Mathematics: 88% 2nd
Biology 96% 1st
Chemistry 86% 1st
Modern 94% 1st
EE1 84% 2nd

Pretty happy with all my marks. I made too many stupid mistakes in maths though, and i didnt study enough at all for chem as it was my last exam lol. And bio was ridiculously easy since our teacher told us everything that was going to be in it (he always does, kinda annoying lol)! I was pleasantly suprised by modern as I thought i had gone badly!

Overall, im pretty happy with my marks...
wow!! thats fantastic!! haha you should do great in the hsc, congratulations!!

Does the "quality" of your school adversely affect your HSC results?

My trials marks are as follows:

Adv Eng: 74/105 - 6th Trial - 2/15 (I wold have achieved 85% had I known the King Lear Q notbeen specifically about "Family Drama". I prepared a Marxist response and only got 6/20 here)

S.O.R I - 43/50 - 3rd Trial - 2nd or 3rd/85

Economics - 76/100 - 3rd Trial - 1/10

History Ext: 35/50 1/1

Legal: 87/100 - 1st Trial - 1/15

Modern History: 49/50 with Vietnam and Germany essays to come. 1st Pre-Trial with 97.8 Average.

___________________________________________________________

My school has never achieved academically in the past, but my year group could be the most academically gifted to ever come through my school. Will we be affected by our past failures?

Secondly, in Economics I am tied for 1st place with a school mark of 85. Ive been told that only one person can claim 1st place. Is this true? Would we be split by trial performance or decimal points. I worked it out and I am ahead of 2nd by 0.03 of a HSC mark, if they choose trial perfomance to split us will I have a case to complain to either the principal or Board of Studies?

Shit I would kill for that English mark, good job.

you wouldnt kill for his handwriting, its atrocious. they had to get teachers who know his writing well to mark it for him.

b6, without proper hand writing, you shall fall beneath the hooves of the state.

ancient-45/50 (need pompeii, sparta back)
english-77/105 (fuck you b6)
modern-24/25 (only core back)

I got most of english back today:

Paper 1

Section 1 - We haven't got it back yet
Section 2 - 9/15 - dammit I thought my creative response was pro wtf
Section 3 - 10.5/15 - yiewww

Paper 2

Module A - 12/20 - I emphasised too much on Truman probably
Module B - 14/20 - yieww and I thought I stuffed it up
Module C - 14/20 - yieww but I would of got slightly higher If I talked more about my supplementary text

Apparently the maximum mark they can give a standard person at my school is 80%. Does this apply to other schools too? By the way is 70% in an exam any good for standard?
