Hey I was just wondering what everybody got in their trials. I should get mine tomorow so i'll post them then. Also whether the exam was hard, if you're happy with the marks etc. Any general comments on your marks...

If schools have different exam papers. It's hard to compare.

69% (rank 2, top was around 75%)

Q1,3,4 were straightforward, Q2,5,8 were a little difficult but Q6 and 7 were ridiculously hard. Topics were everything except mechanics and graphs from 4U and binomial theorem and probability for harder 3U.

Aw man, you guys didn't have Harder Ext 1 in yours? Lucky. My whole last question was Harder 3 Unit/Binomial Theorem. :\

80/120 for me in the CSSA paper, I'm fairly happy with it.

Ridiculously stupid decision to drop.

u serz?. ><".

but was just wondering, is it POSSIBLE to drop it? and why is it such a bad idea. the maths papers at my school are considered easy. so when i sit the hsc, i'll prob fail even more?

You're doing the highest scaling subject.

Unless you're completely, horrifically and utterly SHIT at 4unit (ie. you can't do past q3 in a hsc paper), there would be no rational reason to drop 4unit for a 2unit mark.

Re: 回复: Re: Trial marks?

i reckon ours was really easy except for a projectile motion problem which i hadnt seen before. i go to nsb and i was really suprised cos of all the preparation i had done for the exam, which was maybe 6-10 hours over the last couple of days, people still couldnt do some Qs. well i'm hoping for over 110; which is about 92% and maybe into 115 which is really fucking good. btw i was hoping to come top 5 in the grade ad im 13th atm so it will be hard. oh well. time will tell.

79/84 for Maths ext 1
85/120 for Maths ext 2 (average 80/120 wth?)

Our maths ext 1 paper was ridiculously straightforward, so they took off marks for really arbitary things (like for writing NC0 instead of 1 ><)

Our maths ext 2 paper was ridiculously difficult and long. Not even R. Lee finished, and his dad has written a textbook =S
