Hey, I'm writing a script that is based in Elizabethan times, but I've written it in contemporary English. Could anyone please help me change it from English to Elizabethan? Right now it's kinda like translating it into Italian from Arabic. Not really working.

Basically you're trying to go from Contemporary English to Early-Modern/Shakespearian language right? I'd advise against it, simply because if something is in Early modern you probably want to make it somehow poetic like Shakespeare did. I would probably write it in cont/modern english and slip in a few archaic words here and there. You might want to check out some playwrights who have done elizabethan set plays in modern day... I'd say they probably did it in Modern... can anyone suggest any?
