Michael Bay doesn't make masterpieces that will be studied in 20 years time but in my opinion usually makes a pretty entertaining movie with good action and a twist of comedy every now and then.

of course, but i did use it(T1) for belonging in english lol, and it worked, and mum had to let me watch it multiple times as 'homework'. Who cares if its not deep, its awesome!!!

Star wars was completely new and different at the time, which is mainly why it is remembered. Also it is 6 movies over a long time, doesn't give you a chance to forget lol
