Transferring In UTS (1 Viewer)

Okay, this is somewhat complicated but pretty much, I had a horrible UAI (82.8), but massive bonus points, was expecting at least 86 and thought I'd make it into Law @ UTS with my bonus points but didn't (obviously) and had no back up plan whatsoever, so, after succumbing to parental pressure, I got myself into a Medical Science degree at UTS.

I am despising Medical Science, did 3 subjects in semester 1, failed 1 subject, 2 credits, then chose to only do part time in semester 2, because I knew without a doubt, I would've failed the two subjects that I didn't do. At this rate, it looks like I might get a possible distinction and credit.

I want to transfer to Law/Bus OR Law OR Bus @ UTS. And, bearing in mind my current pickle of a situation, the chances of that happening are?

Please don't say none.

I heard that once your in the system it's a easier procedure to transfer.

But yea there is a possibility.

without 1 year full-time equivalent of university then only your UAI is considered in transfers, so unless they allow people already in the uni to get in with lower or the cut-off falls (which is likely) you won't get it. There is a possibility of doing law there.

Also Graduate Law at UTS requires you only to have done a Bachelor Degree and to attend an interview so your marks matter very little.

Wait, so its definitely right that my uni marks aren't considered at all by UAC? Because according to the other thread, it isn't ... gah this is confusing. *stabs med sci in the face* I'd pop into the student centre at UTS for advice but I hate asking them, they're not really helpful and just seem to want to rush through me.

You probably want to have a think about other courses that interest you, because that UAI won't get you into law in many places (if any). If you stay in med sci you probably won't go well and your chances of a transfer will be pretty low

Uni marks are only taken if you have undertaken 48 credit points and have results in them.
