Beware going to university between 10:30am-3pm unless you enjoy driving around aimlessly for 20mins to look for parking. :)
... And then having to make your way over to Mac Centre anyway.

Sigh. Good times!!

I come from Wahroonga, and now go down Pennant Hills road and along Beecroft and onto Epping. We leave at 7.30 (for 9am classes) and it gets us there reliably by 8 - 8.30. But, if you leave 15 minutes later, you wont get there until 9am (sometimes just past 9).

I used to go along Pacific Hwy and onto Lane Cove but thats just suicide. Its hopeless.

I go Pacific Highway --> Lane Cove/Ryde road.

I won't deny it, it's awful, but the few times I tried the pennant hills road way it took even longer :/ (1 1/2 hours as opposed to 1 hour, then again I live in Berowra).

I normally try to leave by 7 or 7:30, and get to uni around 8:15 or 9:15 respectively. If you leave later and are on the roads around 9:45am or later traffic is MUCH better, but then you have no parking. :(

Pft, walking is for plebs. I levitate there.

In seriousness, I drive from West Lindfield. If there no traffic, it takes me 5 minutes. In peak our, it takes on average 30-45 mins, however it has taken me an hour a few times when there's been accidents etc. If it's really bad (anywhere between leaving home 8:30-10am), I usually take the bus so I can read/sleep/listen to music.

There's no train station as yet - there's one scheduled for 2008. The best way would be to drive, catch the bus, or catch a train then a bus from Epping or the city or something, i suppose.

It can be difficult. Just be early for a week and see how late you can leave it. :)

Do u live near Ctown station?

1) catch a train from ctown station to Strathfield via the sourthern line

2) catch a train from strathfield to epping via the northern line'

3) cath a bus 288, 290, 292, 296 to Macq from epping station

total travel time depends on the howlong u have to wait while at the station for the train and bus, my guess 1.5 hr to 2.5 hrs one way.

I live on the east hills line and it takes 1.5 hr one for public transport

As for drive, it takes about 45 min 10am - 3pm to get there and as much as 1hr 20 min to get back during peak afternoon hrs.

Parking is horrible from about 10am - 3pm. Not impossible, but horrible (bad enough that you have to be in the carparks at approx 5 past when people are coming back to their cars after lectures, and quickly indicate and grab them before anyone else does).

I've been known to leave the house early and arrive at uni aruond 8:30 for a noon class, JUST to skip peak hour traffic and the fight for parking lots. I have since turned napping in my car before/between classes into an art form. *nod* (I figure that if I loose sleep by waking up early, I can balance it out by sleeping at uni?)

Parking seems to be good to me...
I've been parking at uni sometimes between 11am - 12pm cos I cant find a space at Mac Centre..
It's near empty.......
But then again, I park in the F area since it's the closest to the Centre..

I know some people from up north who travel about as far. It's tough, but it's what some people do for uni :( probably not a bad idea to check out closer uni's though :)
