I did ext 1 maths in y11, and am also doing ext 1 this year.

Was the whole prelim course most of the y12 2u course?
... Do we get tested on EVERYTHING like the beginniing stuff: basic algebra, geometry graphs and functions etc in the trial and hsc?

yes u can be tested on anything in the prelim course, upto 30% of the exam can be prelim content

i thought it can hav upto 25% prelim

But we did pretty much the whole 2u course in y11... if that content is present in only about 30% of the exam, the few 2u HSC topics would be weighted heaps, right?

what do you mean by weighted heaps?

the HSC exam can be 30% of Preliminary Advanced Mathematics course, but at least 70% of it has to be the HSC 2unit course

have a look at page 5 of the 2/3 unit syllabus, and you'll see which are prelim and which are HSC topics

You might as well review prelim stuff than study year 12 stuff if you don't know it well enough
