How can you assume the triangle is equilateral?

I assume that z = x^4, correct?

And so that means when x = h, the base is h^4 + h^4 while the height is h^4.

Therefore, area = 1/2.base.height = 1/2 . 2h^4 . h^4 = h^8.

Hahaha... none of our fault... in the question it sais that each cross section is an equilateral triangle... its from HSC 2004...

Oh alright, sorry, I didn't have a look at that one yet. I guess we're both right.
