Hey all

i got mostly low 80's for all my subjects, however i expect to get mid 90's.
am i aiming to high?

also, in English i got just above the average of the year in advanced which was 65%, as i got

67% in AOS
75% modules.

yet, i go to a school typically ranked 18th

i can expect this to rise right?!

haha yeah aiming high is all fine and well
i just assume that the average is SO low for all of my subjects
so, in the actual HSC exams it should inflate/moderate

i am just unsure as to how much i should realistically be expecting that to be :)

its not motivating me to know that my marks right now are 70s for english...

maybe your exams were hard/ harshly marked... if ranks are good and u put effort in u could get very high still =)
personally i can't predict what u may/maynot achieve becasue i dnt know your academic level or effort u are putting in

All i can say is that i found the HSC to be significantly easier than my trials and it showed in my marks.

There was this guy who got 63% in his English Trial, yet he got 94% in his HSC exam. It's never too late.

The rule of thumb is that you improve 15% from mid course exams to trials, and then a further 10% from trials to HSC, with hard study.

Then again, m pretty sure my mid course exams were better than my trials...

Just remember that the HSC mark you see is not your raw mark, but some sort of scaling would have been applied to it. So theoretically, your mark would increase without you doing anything (since you're being compared to the rest of the state's performance).
