Entirely agreed. I dropped Mathematics altogether after Year 11, but only because I'm absolutely sure I want to do an Arts/Communication degree. I had an entire class going badly in the subject because of my teacher's teaching methods, which is probably the main reason I dropped.

I'm not sure about General, because I think it's one of those subjects where it's really easy to make stupid mistakes. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I get. The textbooks are basically Year 9/10 advanced maths work.


Getting a private tutor in 2U Maths is a good option and has helped out many people, as well as books like Excel. I'd say invest in those two things.
