So, recently we had an assessment task for 4U- 56 marks, 50 minutes.
Of course, my timing was poor and I didn't finish >>
It did, however got me thinking;

In the trial/HSC exam, is there a strategic way to complete the paper? How did you complete it?

Half assed attempt at answering, if you're running out of time.
Leave questions you can't do, come back later.

So I'm guessing you started with Q1 and finished with Q8?

depends what you're aiming for.
Sometimes its not necessary to finish the whole paper to get a good mark. You could finish up to Q6 and then check your answers for silly mistakes rather than moving onto Q7 and Q8 if Q7 and Q8 are too hard.
If you are aiming to finish the whole paper because you're confident in Q7 and Q8, then work VERY FAST in Q1 - Q3 (probably 10-15 minutes each question), then Q4-Q8 increase the amount of time you spend, etc

practice will make perfect - the only way is via practicing under timed conditions with past papers

1. You can probably improve on your understanding of the material
2. People tend to waste time at the beginning.. if you manage to work at the speed you were working at near the end of the exam throughout the whole exam then you will finish alot more.
