You can get timetables here: http://platformweb.uws.edu.au/pweb_tt/start.asp?yr=2011. Hopefully you've already picked your courses or know what courses / units you want to do. If you havent, you can go to MySR and follow the steps.

Unfortunately you're going to have to make the timetable yourself like I did. :(

Terrible Terrible system. Especially when you see everyone's timetables on facebook :(

I used the link I showed in the initial post lol.

I wanted a quick way to see all four units and when I'm free for deciding which times I wanted and excel would have taken too much time compared to just typing it up on notepad :p

You cant actually choose the exact lecture/tutorial/practical/workshop you want to go to till feburary 24th or something like that so any timetable we make at the moment is only a guestimate :(

Hey sweets,
Just wanted to add, tutorial registration actually opens 15th Feb depending what units you're taking.
I'd take note of what times they open for each subject so that you can achieve the most convenient time table.

^ Yes.

And also arrive early because there are limited positions for each time slot and you might have to wake up at 6 am every monday or stay at uni till like 8pm on fridays or something else ridiculous :(

Just a tip, I used Windows Calendar to easily drag around tutorial/lecture times to see if they'd fit or not.
In all honesty, there shouldn't be a problem with getting the classes you want, unless you sleep through it.

Tutorial registration at UWS isn't as competitive as other unis, I've heard of people sleeping through it or completely forgetting to sign up.

Remember silly things like not taking the first tutorial that a tutor takes, since you guys will end up being the guinea pig class. The first classes for any tutor usually run the longest and aren't efficient, when compared to say, mid-week classes. End of week classes are not advisable as they'd be pretty pissed off from teaching the same crap all week. Just some general advice.

So, the last point you made was to take mid-week tutorials as they are more efficient than say the first few tutorials?

In my personal experience, yes.

But it's the actual tutor. Most of the time it isn't listed for the BBC units, only Law ones state who's actually running it.
Although, say if you took the 9:00AM tutorial on a Monday, that would definitely be the first (duh).

Never been in one. This is purely speculation backed up by a logical train of thought.

However, I can advise that I've personally experienced the "guinea pig" effect of having first classes.

What if the unit that you want to do is only on offer in the first session of the week?

then just do that.

It isn't your tutor that will get you good marks, ultimately it will only be yourself.

as for the OP,
you don't get 'handed' a timetable like you did in highschool,
instead you make your own.
