Had my prelims for year 11 and felt very restrained on preparing for my yearlies. I was practically studying a day before the test and didn't have notes ready or I would have half done notes. Advice on how to best manage my time in preparation for Year 12?

Plan ahead, get priorities straight. Identify your problem(s) and solve them (i.e. why you are cramming.)

When studying normally, don't focus on hours, focus on completion of specified tasks. If someone says that studying at least 6 hours a day will give you a 90%+ in every subject, then they are telling lies and committing a logical fallacy.

I share your problem but I think we know the answer to this solution. As you are aiming for a high ATAR studying from Day 1 is the way to go. Don't kill yourself and just everyday go over your notes. Write important notes or highlight while your teachings speaking. Pay attention in class, that helps a lot. Prepare a timetable and as "set specified tasks".
