cause up bringing is wat fashions u as a person and they want to make sure u can cope with the course and the demands etc
wat r they looking for?? do they rejoice in the misfortunes of family members and how u then reacted? "my father had arthritis for 40 yrs and was in constant agony, so i rubbed his feet, helped him hold cups, and felt terrible that i couldn't anything more substantial to help him"?? "oh well, she's been through a lot of emotional anguish and she's still a fully functional part of society, she'll be able to cope with patients with terminal illnesses... yay you! you r in!!" ??? Is that an advantage?!?!

... so u do the umat, the interview and then if u get the right uai u should get in??

GOOD LUCK FOR THE HSC EVERYONE!!!

hmm...all I can say is be honest in the interviews. If you've got some dramatic story that shows your good characteristics i.e. calm under pressure, by all means use it. But yeh, UNSW interviewers are really friendly...I'm scared about Monash, I heard they have scenario based questions...anyone done one?

yes ive done them...they also have scenario base questions at newcastle...

my question at monash was long the lines of: "Your good friend has recently broken up with his girlfriend and just drinks away his worries on weekends at clubs. You fear that this might cause problems further down the track. Would you inform his parents of his behaviour? Why or why not? What other advice could you give to help him?"

I'm so lame...after doing further organic chemistry and biochemistry, I've started trying to deduce the chemical structure of all my drugs (pharmaceuticals). I was so close to figuring methylphenidate hydrochloride, but I don't know how to modify a phenol group to give a phenidate group. Damn.

Oh yeah, you could always try the nurses.

You fob Wilson, don't use "surely" twice in the same sentence! All your patients will be like "damn he's so asian".

Yeah yeah, I only have to be like that around patients and stuff. I'll still be allowed to call Wilson a fob.
