Ello,

Basically, when your taking a thematic approach to writing an AOS essay, what are some general all encompasssing points you could bring up that you could back up with your essay and then reference with your texts? I really dont want to do a text by text structure but it seems to be much easier :/

The only one I can think of is obstacle, catalyst etc etc, which is really crappy.

start off with topic sentences, then link two texts through that to take an integrated approach

so, say you start off with saying journeys are a result of certain catalysts, or whatever you propose, then go on to talk about techniques, provide evidence, then link it to the second text and see how that's shown
