BTL is a DET run rural training program, this year they're sending UNCLE to the Griffith and Deniliquin School Areas (I'm based out of Deniliquin). It takes up a week of your second year prac block, so you do a week there and 3 weeks at your normal school. The DET pays for transport - we're getting bused out of uni at 7.30 monday - and accomodation, either hotels or billeting with teachers, as well as most meals, so it's a little like a paid holiday - we go down on monday and back on friday, so we actually only spend 3 days in schools, where we may or may not do a little teaching. We go to teaching forums and get time to figure out if teaching rurally is for us, lol, we also get plenty of free time in the evenings to live it up country style...
We also get to meet a guy from grad recruitment, which can't hurt.
