substance abuser - alcoholic, it's a problem, but he came from shit and then had money, who the hell wouldnt turn to alcohol?

wife beater - go back in time and see how many women were beaten. It's wrong, but hell, many many people (men) did it, and it's all because of the alcohol

racist cunt - it's not right, but the depending on the time it was possibly used
more often
braad somehow finds excuses to condone domestic violence, substance abuse and overt discrimination.

No doubts Ronnie is the best in the world, but i have to question Gerrard and Lampard behind him, Gerrard did lead his team to EC glory, and Lampard does do well for chelsea, but honestly deco is better, as is henry, kaka and Schevchenko. Look at the points between Ronnie and Lampard though and you realise how great he is, he won this with a huge margin. Though two names on their puzzle me, Drogba and Zidane, do they really deserve to be on that list after this years performances?

The list also depends on success. Barca lifted their first domestic title in ages, and Ronnie was the inspiration/playmaker behind it. And playmakers/forwards usually get them. Chelsea lifted their first domestic title in ages, and Lamps was the inspiration/driving force behind it. Liverpool won their first Champions League in ages, and Gerrard literally picked the team up and won it (of course, their defence held up).

Henry might've got it, had Arsenal done more than win the FA Cup. Deco was up against Ronnie when people thought of Barca. Sheva and Maldini would've been higher up or even won it, had Milan not choked.

Eck probably doesnt want to hear the words "fire up" in the boardroom, itll probably mean hes gettin fired. To be honest, its what is needed, plus half of the current squad. And Pienaar is set to wear the Hoops either in January or in the European summer. And if Petrov is re-signed, and there is still plenty of money left over for Keano, then there is no way the league can be lost.

Mind you, I said that last year. And believe it or not, a bookie in Scotland has Sir Alex second favourite to take Ecks job, behind Paul Le Guen. And Graham Rix may have to leave the Hearts job coz the SFA dont like that he is on the sex offenders list, apparently he once rooted a 15 year old.

Heres some goals that everyone has seen, but I just cant get enough of:

http://media.putfile.com/Marco--Van--Basten--great--goal--for--Ajax
http://www.danerd.com/Show.php?vid=1252 Not a great goal but fucking hilarious
http://media.putfile.com/henrik-larsson-glasgow-celtic-vs-rangers OK, so its more for me than you's :)

I have links to a few more, just got to find em then Ill post them.

Actually in his first season at Barca, Ronaldinho did plenty of tracking back and tackling. It's one of the reasons people were talking about how he 'single handedly' turned their season around. As for great players who never tackled, Pele's probably the best candidate. George Best was supposedly very good in the tackle though.

Yep, very true.

On another note, Barca. beat the Israeli/Palestinian side in a special one-off Peace match this morning, 2-1. Goals for Deco and Maxi Lopez. The only player, from my point of view, who appeared to take the match seriously as opposed to showboating, turned out to be the worst-performed : Larsson. Might not matter much in a match such as this, although when Eto'o leaves for the African cup in January, someone will need to fill in for him.

And btw, Villa (full-strength) have been knocked out of the League Cup by stuggling 3rd Divisioners Doncaster Rovers. There was a time when this would've surprised me.

see, now you're assuming things, and i didnt want to talk, because i knew you'd do this.

my grandfather was an extreme alcoholic and was physically abusive. he only changed when he had to start relying on my grandma to do things. I do not condone domestic violence or substance abuse. Despite what was wrong with him i still loved my grandfather because he did have a better side, one that was very much like Best, a charmer and the life of the party. He was a good sportsman too, he played for South sydney

im somewhat pissed off with your remark thinking i basically support domestic violence, substance abuse and racism. but hey, thats you...and i guess you only took the words without meaning or reason behind them and painted a picture of me

If Wenger goes, Arsenal's perenial place in the top 4 will be taken by Tottenham.

Anyway, Liverpool move up to 4th with an easy win over a shitty team. Top stuff. I'd say the table's looking a lot closer to how things will finish at the end of the season now, except Wigan will probably be slipping a further couple of places down the table and Middlesbrough a couple of places up... Souness for the guillotine before the season finishes. Can't believe how poorly he's doing with such a fantastic squad.

I just found that Arsenal's home record is the best in the league, but playing away they've only managed a single win. With a tricky match at the Reebok stadium this weekend, I think Liverpool can look forward to moving to 3rd.

Five in a row now for Pool. When was the last time that happened?
And Casillas signed an extension to his contract. Sorry Arse fans, but you aint getting him.
If Souness gets sacked, rumours say he'll got to Gers. Id rather that than Le Guen.
And Dudek says he wants out, coz he wants first team football to compete with Boruc for the national squad.
