lol, he was pretty gud. but as i said australia play a lot of test matches, especially on wickets that favour batsmna, in australia primarily.

Australia play a lot of matches?

Compared to the teams in the sub-continent, they play rarely.

In Australia, they play at:
- 'Gabba
- SCG
- Adelaide Oval
- Bellerieve Oval
- MCG
- WACA

Of those, the only TRUE batting pitches are the 'Gabba and Adelaide Oval. MCG is also a good batting track, generally. SCG offers too much for spinners, Bellerieve too much for the seamers, and WACA is a similar story .. too much bounce for the fast men.

It's not Australia's problem that they can adapt better than other countries to the bounce at the WACA. Or that, India aside, they can adapt to the conditions at Sydney better.

sorry buddy, that may be true historically but over the past few years, all the aussie pitches seem to be becoming homogenous roads. if it wasn't for having legendary bowlers in warne and mcgrath and class backups like gillespie we'd have won way less games at home.

plus nowadays there are hardly any swing bowlers, u have pathan, hoggard, harmison, jones pretty much the england bowling lineup, then maybe akthar. thats it. mostly seamers nowadays.

Also, Harmison doesn't primarily focus on swing. He delivers more short stuff than the rest of the England attack put together. Flintoff is more likely to pitch it up and get some late outswing.

there is little swing offered in Australian conditions. Flintoff got hammered, when he was playing in the restof the world XI against australia.

the real threat in bowling is i think simon jones, fast accurate. gud bowler he is. and the aussies middle order is lookin fragile, with ponting and hussey really only being consistent. saying that the enland depend heavily on peitersen against the spinners and prob vaughan in australia.

england struggled aginst india in the odi. considering india has a new team, and england having injuries, i guess it equals out.

5/350 odd at stumps. That's an excellent score for any day one. Although, England made 400 in one day last year in the ashes. Plenty of batting to come for the bangas so they should get 400. It's important that they bat as long as they can if they've got a chance.
Pitch will turn on day 3 and aussies are only fielding 5 specialist batsman but lee and warne can be considered all-rounders.
Interesting that the ABC chose not to send a commmmentary team over their to call the action (for understandle reasons) But in hindsight, the cricket was not all that one-sided
