good argument everyone. You cant really say who is better.. because you've got to say what they're better at?
Rapping in general is too broad of a topic to ask who is better than who.
It can be argued that biggie has more flow than tupac.. he can put anything together and make it sound good.
e.g
B I G P O P P A.. no info for the D E A.. hes just spelling his name and it sounds cool.. emphasis in right places etc..
2pac on the other hand.. was more philosophical.. had good things to say.. had lots of heart in his songs, almost all of them came strait from the heart.
Not to say biggie didnt have meaning to his songs, but 2pac was far greater and more meaningful. Biggie was greater than 2pac in making it flow and sound good.
Sorry if ive said something that anyone else has said, as if i was gonna read the whole thread.
edit: okay ive read the rest of the thread.. got bored lol
Why does one have to be greater than the other?
There have been alot of stupid things said in this thread..
such as "tupac wasnt real he used to be a ballet dancer"
fuck is that.. he actually used to go to an arts school so stfu
Both rappers have really good songs. Both that just sound good and got meaning.
Sound good:
biggie:
Fucking you tonight
Going back to cali
Gimme the loot
Mo money mo problems
Tupac:
..
none? haha nah
Ballad of a dead soldier
Hit em up (dont really like this song personally)
Why you turn on me
Thug style
Still ballin
Last ones left (he has good music with the outlaws)
Heart:
Tupac:
Brendas got a baby
Changes
Letter to my unborn
Letter to the president
White mans world
and thats jus to name a few.. we all know theres alot more
Biggie:
Ready to die
Everyday Struggle
Juicy
(more stuff from ready to die)
However one song that i really love is
Running (dyin to live) - pac and biggie
and there is anotoher one thats good as well
Lil eazy Feat 2pac and Biggie - Us against the world
Conclusion:
Both were great rappers, both contributed a great deal to the rap industry.. both sold lots of albums.. both were killed. let us appreciate both of their talents, however we are all entitled to our own opinions and we should not put down people jus because they think one is better then the other.
P.S. hiphoophooray i think you said "biggie never dissed tupac.. yes he did "Who shot ya " (sorry if it wasnt you that said it)
I dont want to be a fence sitter so i will say tupac was a better rapper, but maybe thats just because ive heard alot more songs of tupac than biggie.
Btw biggie had a gayer name than pac. Christopher Wallace haha that sounds so gay.. Christopher George Latore Wallace against Tupac Amaru Shakur.. the latter sounds way more gangster
However i do love the way biggie starts his songs with "Uhh Uhh".. thats gangster shit right there
Peace out. Fuck the po' po'.
