i am a pretty experienced player, but i never got into the raiding scene. Only a handful of casual raids.

Dont think you can call yourself experienced if you havent raided before.

I think it depends on what you define as 'experience'. Of course PvP is a big part of WoW, but it's not the only thing - in my opinion hardcore instance gamers who tend to REALLY know the ins and outs of each class type are definately experienced players... regardless of their PvP experience.
