i did 4unit english
5unit history
s&c

i weighed my paper purely from notebooks folders and hand outs (exclusing the mountains of paper through out the year for homework, notes, pip related stuff like interviews) and it was something like 20kgs.

so

humanities and english.
-.-
IIRC your writing is huge and loopy...it's no wonder you used that much

whoah if one did that, they wouldn't have an excuse for not getting a band6

i think i only did about 25 past papers in total the whole HSC year and I got 45
one guy from our school bragged how he did 100+ maths papers for his trials

'i did 110 maths papers'
(mark comes back, he failed)

funny guy

Paper consumption isn't that bad for the environment.

How many of you occasionally drive/are driven to school?

Regardless of the size of your car, your driving definetly has a bigger impact than paper consumption. Even if you don't drive, personal goods you consume at home would have a much greater impact than everything you consume at school. If you buy anything wrapped in plastic, ever, it has a bigger impact than a large amount of paper.

Most paper production in Australia is sustainable.

For me Ancient History was the most by far. My teacher printed off work booklets, past paper questions with a stack of suggested answers and band 6 examples. In all I would say that I had well over 1000 pages of printed stuff from Ancient, multiplied by every student in my year and thats the winner
Yeh, my teacher was the same. Once you add all the practice essays as well...

actually, my study notes were pretty small. i find writing smaller and slower than i normally do when studying helps me focus on what im writing and helps with memorisation

also, hand outs. my god. SO. MANY. HANDOUTS.

but yeah, thats a good point, lol.

English.

I have a 10cm high stack of printed-out notes on my desk. Most of the information is repetitive and only less than 5% of the notes offer any original and interesting insight into the topic.

Also, not only is my maths stack shorter (my work included) but the information is also more condescended and less of it can be considered a waste compared to English.
