Re: The Official Football Thread

Who usually plays as centre mid?
Rodgers has come in so assuming a 3 man midfield of Lucas, Hendo/Adam and Gerrard

Euro 12

Germany, Netherlands and Portugal in same group

gonna be interesting
Germany and Holland to progress unless Ronaldo can work magic with Portugal

What's SBS doing this time?
4 live games and 4 delayed games (or something i don't remember actually)

Re: The Official Football Thread

I'm assuming the live games are going to be like the glamour games, the semi finals and the final only?

Re: The Official Football Thread

Aha, just found it

http://media.sbs.com.au/theworldgam...nd_564667230_euro_2012_broadcast_schedule.pdf

Poland v Greece - delayed SBS TWO at 11pm

Then at 9:30pm:
Spain v Italy - delayed SBS TWO
France v England - delayed SBS TWO
Netherlands v Germany - delayed SBS TWO

And then on SBS ONE two quarter finals live at 4am, one semi-final live at 4am and then the Final live at 4am - with a replay that night on SBS TWO

And daily highlights. But apparently those 'delayed' matches are a day and a half delayed? I'm not sure but... yeah.

Yeah, I agree it's a step down from their EURO 2008 coverage...

Re: The Official Football Thread

Henderson's a half decent player in centre midfield, Carroll picked up form at the right time and offers England a target man (Crouchy's too old) and Downing is shit but tracks back which is what i'm presuming Hodgson sees in him. The best players don't make the best team, Hodgson wants a team willing to work as a unit and defend well, 2 cleans sheets and 2 goals in 2 games reflects that

That being said, nobody expects England to make it past the group stages so nobody should be complaining about anything he does really

Livo graduate trololol
Fair point. How far do you think england can go playing like chelsea?

It's free to air so i'm not complaining

Not far to be honest, first game against France will be when we can really judge how good/bad this team is

Although Chelsea surprised me when they got past Barca so anything's possible

Cabaye and Ben Arfa have looked pretty average on the national side tbh

They need M'Vila bad

kagawa almost certain to go to united now. im gutted, anywhere but there.
Same, questions over what position he'll play though
