few major mainstream leaks past few days

first off, diddy's album leaked, clean version though. Real nice album, just as i was expecting the guy knows what works and this is alot better than 'forever' the guest appearances are plentiful and the beats are brilliant. Even T.I co-produced a track ('wanna move')

jay-z - kingdom come (title track, might be 2nd single...wow already)

diddy feat Nicole, Young Joc, Young Dro & T.I - Come To Me (ATL Remix)

2Pac Feat T.I & Ashanti - Pac's Life (first single from upcoming pac album - apparantly the last)

Jim Jones Feat T.I, Diddy, Baby & Young Dro - We Fly High (Remix)

Diddy Feat Pharrel & Jamie Foxx - Partners For Life

Mario - How Do I Breathe (sounds just like 'let me love you')

Snoop Dogg Feat R Kelly - That's That Shit

Xzibit - Thank You (real nice song even though i dont like X's voice too much)

Young Buck Feat T.I, Pimp C & Young Jeezy - 4 Kings

UGK - Like That

and john legend's sophmore album leaked today 'once again' really really really good on 1st skim. Even sounds better than his first. the beat for 'slow dance' is brilliant.

Show Me What You Got is absolutely shit.

Kingdom Come is meh

What is this? Seriously, i was getting huge vibes that this would be some sort of groundbreaking, milestone album. He claims that his retirement was the "worst retirement possible", which itself infers that the songs he made for it were not good enough, and now he has wacky weird people like Chris Martin producing a song for this comeback album.

But what the fuck? Both these songs pretty much suck balls and show absolutely nothing of Jigga's ability, and do nothing to assert his "King of New York" status proclaimed by the album's title. I dont get it. WAs i wrong in anticipating something with just a LITTLE bit more substance and some lyricism which doesn't sound like JayZ just freestyling random crap from the top of his head?

This shit so far will grow real old very quickly. I cant see people bumpin this in a years time, like a Blueprint or Reasonable Doubt did... I just hope he released this shit as random crap to build hype for the album. Though i cant imagine why cos these songs pretty much suck...

Game said it right when he said he expected something bigger from Jay

ok so i admit you have a point. I do enjoy the songs though. But of course they aren't classic jay-z. But i still do have high hopes for the album. Izzo wasn't jay's best work, neither was 'girls, girls, girls' but blueprint was a great album.

what do you think of the new nas joint 'hip hop is dead'?

i thought it was an ok song, interesting beat, good flow etc. still feels like nas could do a lot better though.

kinda funny how the track is all 'bring back real hip hop fuck money fuck comercialism' and its produced by wil.i.am.

ok despite my bias against will.I.am i really really love this beat. I think the sample was incorporated much better than on thieves theme (even though i loved that too) i love how the beat switches occasionally to different ones (including a bit of the same beat from 'thought at work' by black thought)

I like his flow

I like the track. Not as lyrically impressive as anything from illmatic. But it's a nice flow and nice lyrics.

and wow @ the beats for the 3rd verse.

I'm definently lovin this.

But if it's a single, i don't see it making much of an impact on the mainstream, but i don't think that is nas' intention.

MATISYAHU.

He's more reggae, but he is easily one of the stand outs of 05/06.

112 Ft Fabulous - Take Me Back - great beat and Fab goes pretty well with 112.

Jay-Z - Hov is back - Pretty sure this won't be on the album.

Jay-Z - Corporate Takeover (freestyle) - Fucks up a bit in the middle, but otherwise its decent.

There is another freestyle which I haven't listened to yet. Its getting me real excited about Kingdom Come.
