i) The question asked to prove by INDUCTION. Contradiction, whilst an effective form of proof in some cases, could not be used here. One mark awarded

ii) The candidate chose not to answer this question and for good reason, dawso showed it to people at school today and they didn't realise it was a joke.
The preferred method would be
some people = stupid
Differentiate wrt s
Then integrate
Its easy from there, just du it


iii) The candidates answer did not explain why the test had UMAT shapes or anything about question 7. 0 marks

iv) Since the candidate did reply, 2 marks are awarded

Total 3/8 but this is 4unit so gets scaled to 7/8

I just finished this paper. Took a while...Especially 3.b and 5.e. Question 8 was a breeze because our teacher has asked us to do that for homework several times.

Anyways, does anybody have the solutions ?
