i think you said it yourself, we all have our opinions. im just saying that when some very knowledgeable people 'clarify' something you've said you should consider what theyve said since it is likely to be of equal, if not more value than your perspective. even if you consider it wrong, isnt it better to come to some sort of constructive argument? theyre not trying to put you down -- we're here to learn not to have some competition.

IM not tryna put u down - i know uve said some insightful stuff before and the more contribution to the board, the better.

Sam Davis, would you mind me asking whether writing SDD books has raked in big bucks or if you need to do part time jobs like programming or web design's? :p

Well put it this way, I'm driving a Mazda, not a Ferrari! But then again we regularly eat Steak and rarely suasages, so I do OK!

Currently I spend about half my time writing texts and the other half programming (oops, I mean Software Developing). My income is higher than a teacher but less than a footballer!

Sorry to bump an ancient thread, I got the sam davis book and started now studying for my trials, however I find some dot points aren't even covered in the book and I have to work off other resources, I got 3 books and several summaries, each of the 3 books gives me a different answer, for example, to employment trends, increased contracting, increased outsourcing to save money and types of programming languages required (of course i wrote like at least a paragraph on this), but I need to be doing this for like every heading!

Also, Its like the study Im doing is pointless, I feel like it is because its just like most the time not in the HSC, I see it as having no great effect, currently I've finished social and ethical issues, and development approaches upto defining and understanding (1 day per topic), I study by working off 2-3 books and a few summaries and writing down the summary, headings i feel confident for I just write from one book, but if you read carefully, you sometimes don't feel comfortable with the answer a book provides on heading so I'd gather more sources and write a summary, I also write a 'mind map' for that topic at the end and answer a load of questions from leading edge SDD

Does anyone think this would help!? I seriously think the SDD HSC just full of 5% of what im studying and the rest algorithm interpretation (Which is my strongest point in SDD)

Let me know which dot points are not covered and I'll try to clarify/help?

(Mind you the Social and Ethical Issues stuff is not exactly one of my strong areas of expertise).

Thanks for the offer though anyway, I'll try to complete the study and get back to you

however where are the answers to your book!? our teacher is a little dodgy with the answers and plagiarising

i dont blame you for not liking social and ethical issues, i fell asleep studying for it

lol Melissa, your father made a program that we have on our school computers. Its basically a list of questions from SDD and IPT and once you complete all 415 questions there is this random video, of either you or your sister screaming something.
so wierd.
