Syllabus change 2014? (1 Viewer)

I have been hearing from teachers at my school that the syllabus is changing for English, starting next year. I was just wondering if this was true, and how much it's going to affect English Advanced and Extension if it is?

Yep there is a change. The only change is the texts, as in different texts are now being prescribed.

Not only that, but in 2015 there's gonna be a new Area of Study replacing Belonging which is Discovery.

Discovery is another rewording of Journeys.

I wonder how many belonging-themed essays will be written for discoveries in the first year

Hmm, and that's something I'm gonna have to discover for myself through my journey

If You want a certain answer about the change in check this post by board of studies made all the way back in April-it states the specific change to the modules as well as texts one will study, hope this helps

That is greatly appreciated, there is going to be a fair bit of change by the looks of it.

the syllabus will start in 2014 with discovery as the AOS and the first HSC exam for that will be in 2015 . if you have trouble finding that syllabus i have a copy

It starts with the 2015 HSC cohort.
