It is preferred that you do different text types, though you wouldn;'t be marked down for it. If u do different it shows you read/view widely.

I just changed my texts in the holidays....

I'm now doing:
the novella 'Heart of Darkness'
the movie 'Apocalyse Now' (which is based on Heart of Darkness)

And i'm linking them to the poem 'Crossing the Red Sea' by Skyrnecki and 'Journeys over Land and Sea' in the Stim.Booklet.

Hmm good idea actually... should our 3 texts be in different form? like Article, movie..etc? probably should...
yes. it would appeal to the markers more if you chose ALL different text types for your texts :)

After my first assessment task (speech), everyone in my grade received a feedback sheet from the teacher. It is said that 'some of the best responses were advertisements found in the Good Weekend magazine of the SMH.' This was for physical journey.

I'm doing the book 'Heart of Darkness' and the movie 'Shrek'.

Exactly how many supplimentaries do you need? 2 or 3?
are you alowed to do 2 movie text? as far as i kno, we're meant to only do the texts in different medium, (1 movie , 1 book, 1 poem, 1 articles, 1 song etc , . . . )

... oh yeah I just thought of 'The Potato Factory' by Bryce Courtenay.
If you haven't heard of it, it's a novel about two convicts who are sent to Tasmania (or Van Diemen's Land) from England. I think you could find several links with Skrzynecki's poetry.
... but bear in mind the novel is huuuuuuuuge (several hundred pages!) so maybe it's too long to read this year, but there is also a movie adaptation (starring Lisa McCune) which you could use alternatively.
