I have notes on suicide, and I don't know why.. lol
We did Asthma and Injury, so I have no idea why I have it. And I can't find anywhere in the syllabus where I would need it - chuck it?

it's part of the injury priority area
and it also kinda fits into mental health because untreated mental diseases lead to violence and suicide, but its still mostly injury

(the three main factors of injury are MVA's, Suicide, and Child accidents)

Im not sure, we didnt do it but i have a feeling suicide comes under injury... i could be totally wrong tho

its the main killer in teenage boys isnt it?

Ohh ok! That explains it then..

Still kind of weird though, I would have thought our teacher would have put it on the Injury sheet then..
Oh well, I better learn it then - I have never bothered to read it.

suicide is in the top 10 killers for young males, but not anywhere for females. a reason is that men try to kill themselves and their methods work whereas females usually think pills/slitting wrists will do the job..fmeales dont like violent methods
