When you get your HSC results back and you do 12units, do you receive your mark for your top ten units only OR do u receive your mark for all 12 units but only your top ten units are taken into consideration for your ATAR????

marks for 12 units - ATAR considers only best 10.

You receive all marks for all subjects but only 8 best units and 2 best units of English are counted (unless 3 or 4 unit English is you 8 best units)

2 best units of English and next best 8 units. But remember 'best' doesn't equal 'highest'. You could for instance get 91 in one subject and 84 in another but have the 84 subject count because of the scaling. UAC uses the best units for you.
