The attachment shows for each subject the rough percentage of the candidature who score a mark which equates to an ATAR of 99 or more.
Only subjects which typically attract more than 2000 candidates are shown.

View attachment Subject Rank.pdf

Edit: Left off General Maths. Its around 0.5%

That's interesting but what's the purpose of this information?

Source is the HSC stats published each year.

I would have thought it was obvious that the purpose was to see how the subjects compare in terms of the quality of candidature.

No highscorers did languages lel
I only included subjects with 2000+ candidates. It wasn't meant to be comprehensive.

Why is it that everyone's first reaction is always to search for negatives?

How's that negative lol sorry i think you're misunderstanding. I'm just saying not many high atar scorers did languages that's all

Sorry, I took your LOL as sarcasm.
But my reply was also directed at the previous posters whose only response was to question the purpose and accuracy of the information.

While plenty of people do a language (and get high ATARS) not many people do any one PARTICULAR language.

Other subjects which didn't have the numbers:
Agriculture
Engineering Studies
Music 2
Music Extension
