Quality not quantity :) Maybe 6 hours? Structure it like a school day, then you won't procrastinate as much.

7-8 hours a day is too little...if you're doing the HSC this year. At least for me it is, because I know absolutely nothing.

Hmm yeah 6 hours does sound much better. I have pretty much got all my notes done, just a couple last of the syllabus points to complete.

7-8 is too little? :O

i think a subject per day is good...because then you get an indepth understanding of it and can explore its potential etc.

Try studying in 60/90 minute blocks (for each subject) like this...

9AM-10:30AM - English Advanced
11AM-12:00PM - English Extension
12:30PM-2:00PM - Legal Studies
3:00PM-4:30PM - Business Studies
6PM-7:30PM - Society and Culture
8:30-10:00PM - Biology

Works out to be 8hour30minutes. Make it flexible.

It's only for another month or so...shouldn't kill you.

I plan to do something like this for each subject per day

Spend 1-2 hours reading/highlighting
Break
Spend 1-2 hours writing or typing up notes/drawing diagrams/making a glossary of terms or equations/
break
spend 1-2 hours answering questions in the book/past papers

I tend to spend 1 day on one subject, next day on another subject and so forth, I find it much easier that way. That way I get a whole day to do what I want with the subject, and am not cramming for time. But hey, different people prefer different things.

Personally I would recommend a balance between subjects studied and time.

Studying only one subject per day leaves a large gap between subsequent study sessions so you may it difficult to recollect previously studied information.

On the other hand, studying all your subjects in one day will limit what you can take in per day so you may find that your revision is really effective given the time.

I would suggest a balance of either 2 or 3 subjects per day (no more) with a solid 6-7 hours done. The rotation will keep you engaged while giving you the time to build upon what you have learned throughout the day.

One final tip: Don't try anything drastic in the final lead-up to the exams. It isn't a time for experimentation so make sure you do something which works for you, not necessarily someone else. Introducing different methods to study which are sizeable different to what you have done before isn't the best way to go. It is important you remain comfortable with your study routine so you can maximise your efficiency.

2 subjects x 3 hours = 6 hours a day is my plan of attack.

13 hours a day. It's only for a few days...shouldn't be too difficult.

7AM : Wake Up
730AM-10AM: Study
1030AM-2PM: Study
3PM-5:30PM: Study
6PM-8:30PM: Study
930PM-1130PM: Study
12PM: Bed

I wouldn't advise this for most people.

I don't use a study planner, i cannot sit down and say right i'll do an hour-and-a-half, because after 30 minutes i get bored. I feel to gain a more efficient approach, if i do 30 minutes of each subject, every couple of hours.

But throughout these holidays, i'll be doing English, and Ancient everyday, probably about 3/4 hours each.

Again, its only for another month, so i guess you should just bust your balls with revision.

7 hours sleep along with that much study will catch up with you. 13 hours is excessive, cut a couple off and go to bed earlier.
