What's the best way to make study notes? What's the best way to revise stuff so it stays in your head? I've heard mind maps work well, and paraphrasing?

What is effective for one person may not be for another.

Im currently having the same problem!
Ive been told mind maping, or really condensing topics is useful but i feel like i need another technique!

get em off the 2012ers.

Otherwise, try to pay attention in class to the point where you understand everything. (This doesn't work very well if your teacher is crap though.) If you understand everything, you'll be able to memorise everything. If you're able to memorise everything, you won't need to write pages of notes. All you really need to do is write 1-2 sentences for each syllabus d.p.
