hello, class of 2025. i’m interested in around the amount of hours per week you spent studying (in different time periods, such as school holidays, terms, exam season, trials-hsc) and how you think it contributed towards your atar.
i am going to a low ranking school (500’s) and want a pretty good atar!

this differs for each person of course bc of extracurriculars and stuff but for me i studied about 4 hours each school day throughout the term. nearing exam periods like the week before it’d be about 5 hours. weekends would be about 5-6 hours.
holidays used to study for the hsc and holidays before trials were about 8 to 10 hours each day for me (and some days higher) but keep in mind that this is quite unnecessary and you can get so much done in 4-5 hours so focus on finishing tasks rather than hitting a time target. for summer holidays and april holidays i didn’t study much tbh, only about 3-4 each day.

but don’t worry about the hours at all, it’s all about the tasks you finish. that’s more important. i just liked tracking my hours and lowkey all my friends did because we just found it motivating to count but at the end of the day focus on task completion. hope this helps
