Study abroad (Semester 2 - 2007): Management courses

Hello!

I´m a German business student in the 5th semester. Now I want to apply for a semester at UNSW.

What do you think about these courses:

MGMT1001
MGMT1101
MGMT2002
ECON1301 (or GENC2001 in combination with SESC1580)

I think 24 Credits are enough?

Can you recommend me other (better) courses? In Germany I´m studying “Finance”, but here in Australia I want to do something different. That’s why I want to visit the “basic management courses” mentioned above. Do you think I can make it?

Thank you so much, Steve

Re: Study abroad (Semester 2 - 2007): Management courses

Guten Tag Steve,

24 credits are the norm each semester. I dont recommend you do any more as you will want to explore sydney also, not just study.

I dont know about those courses, but have you done any economics units?

--> Yes, of course!! :)

I dont know about those courses, but have you done any economics units?

--> You mean courses in Germany? Yes, I visited 6 economic courses (introduction to economics, Micro 1, Micro 2, Macro 1, Macro 2 and economic policy).
Why do you ask? I thought about visiting some "basic management courses", because I feel a certain “fear”, when selecting courses with many prerequisites at UNSW. Reason: maybe you already know different models than we, although I visited 6 economic courses yet and it´s too difficult for me?!

Which courses do you recommend me then? Don´t you think it´s good to visit those “management basic courses”, in general?

Wanna swap steve? I wanna do study abroad in germany or america!

You can do them, theyre the core basics youll be going over human relations and that sort of shit, perhaps you could vary it with a bit of business law or economics; dont be so concentrated on just management! maybe even something fun like marketing.

You should be doing courses starting with the number 3... instead of ones and twos.
