Well, you actually don't know which info is correct - the Students Online site might contain errors.

But the Students Online site also contains the 'official' marks, so if your ranks are different, that's what the Board has on record.

You should only really complain if they've become worse. ;)

how can we tell if they're wrong though, short of asking the whole grade what their assessment marks were an what rank they got?

cos at our school we were never told any ranks or anything up untill now.

Jess, some of the ranks are different than those on my report.
yeah, reports they base the mark on something else, for eg. our report was based purely on our trial marks- hence u mite find some differences. :)

Yah Freaking Out, the problem was sorted out a while ago. Firstly, I did not have the letters concerning this site on my at the time, and i had only briefly read them when i did. I am not ignorant, i just couldnt remember the site address.

if you're up don't worry, it's the people who are down who should be worrying

and your report may have been based on different things, as most schools do not give out the ranks, so if you are up, and it's all good, i wouldn't worry

I went to school today and found out what was wrong.

The marks which were submitted were all correct.

The ranks were all incorrect, because the school sent in our half yearly ranks for SOR - instead of our final ranks.

They say they'll fix it up, as it affects most people's final standings.

Unbelievable. Teachers are human, but you don't expect them to make that big of a stuff up.

Yeah, hopefully it'll all be sorted out soon!

There aren't that many people affected.

We have about 90 people doing SOR

and it only messed around with about 30 kids.

So the rest were unaffected by rank changes. Still, it shouldn't have happened. It was only because many were affected and wanted answers, so everyone has been ringing and coming to school asking about why their rankings were lower, etc.

OMG you had to go back to school? I pity you :p
I've been back about 3 times now, since we graduated/finished the HSC (final exam on the 7th Nov).

I went back to buy a formal ticket, to take the clearance sheet and sign out, return my textbooks, talk to a few teachers, and lastly to get my SOR ranking fixed up (pending).

I'll go back a few more times this week and next, because I have to do a few things first :)

(an executive's job is never done, even when you sign out!)
