Isn't Windows Vista modelled off of OS X?Miles Edgeworth said:Ubuntu and OS X are superior.
yeah, vista sucks. I havent personally tried it, but the people i know who have it, dont like it that much, and they all say that it needs some getting used to, as you just said it aint that extravagant really :\cb205 said:It may not be...just something I heard, thought someone might know...not that Microsoft would admit it anyway.
Vista is nothing to get excited about. I have Vista and I'd much prefer XP.
It does have some nifty features but using it takes a while to get used to.
I also find it to be not as stable as XP but ah well... my fault for not waiting until a later version.
They're selling a tonne because many people buy pre-built systems, and these come with Vista pre-installed. They're hardly getting millions of people going "oh please, I want Vista, I'll pay anything, give it to me"Miles Edgeworth said:That's drawing kind of a long bow.
They're quite different, usability-wise, but I guess they're both attempting to achieve a high level of usability and... style whilst also attempting to be robust platforms.
I've used Vista a couple of times, but it still felt just really unusable, but I hear they're selling a ton, so, you know, power to them?
