Exercise... not only is it a release of stress and anxiety but it gives u endorphins those lovely hormones that make u happy.. :) it also gives more oxygen to ur brain which will create more brain cells which will make u smart :) oh and apart from that ull get fit!

Start exercising regularly... eat good foods! fruits good! make sure u keep a balanced life , school is not everything so socialise exercise study and do nothing! if ur really stressed now take these holidays to chill and just relax theyre the only holidays ur prolly gonna get a proper break. also do some light study so u hopefully feel a lil more confident next term and go over ur half yearlies if uve got them back and see where u went wrong. but mostly! RELAX!
HSC IS NOT UR LIFE!

holidays now are a good time to rejuvenate, but not get lazy. the work still needs to be done (just like if school was in session) but theres less pressure from assessments and going to class...take time out but still get the work done

i agree with sarah168, mazza, redslert on this one a good way to deal with stress is maybe do something that has nothing to do with school at all for at least 3 times a week this will help you as the hsc yr shouldnt take control of your whole life. remember balance schoolwork and your own time and you should be fine

After finishing my half yearlies me and some of my friends sat down and started talking about the stress of it all, even though it was the half yealries. We then started to talk about how each of us cope with stress. Some of my friends constantly bitch about people, others develope a sort of "tick" thing where they have to put on lipgloss or tidy their room or punch holes into sheets of paper.

And apparently I zone out (as well as become slightly destructive as said in a previous post) I just sit there and stare at the floor or the wall or tv. What ever's in my line of vision I stare at. I never really realised that my day dreaming de-stresses me. Who would've thought? :D ;)

hehe niice. Problem is, im so stressed I DON'T stress. I unmotivate myself and then don't study and then do badly in certain exams such as half-yearlies. Then I get depressed because my marks are bad and then I get angry because i know its my own fault because I didn't study, then I tell myself i'll write study notes and study because really, I want to do well and I want to go to uni and I know I am capable of doing better than I do and then I stress out and it happens all over again...

Hmm.. it's only the half yearlys peoples. Why is everyone stressing out this early ? Take it easy.. marks may be important but if you don't achieve the desired UAI you're looking for, there are alternatives to the course you're after.

Year 12 is hard, i know cause i was in it last year (thank god i graduated), try your best and it'll be fine. :)
