Yeah, most schools start year 12 HSC work as soon as they finish the prelim. exams. The last week or two of year 11 just serves as a lead up period to the HSC in term four. It wasn't taken that seriously when I did it. The teachers just use that time to prepare students for the next term. I graduated Thursday :D

Ps. HI AUSBLUESWOMAN!!!!!!!!!
We finished Term 3 with our last exam - so we haven't touched Year 12 work.

yeh same here, exams went through last week of term3, so the hsc will begin probably midwayish next term.

our first hsc assessments are during the last few weeks of next term tho

Nope, we have to stick with our prelim subjects and within the first weeks of the HSC - we make changes.
Isn't that a waste of a few weeks of HSC. :uhhuh:
+ aren't the teachers gonna give you homework :angry:

Yes it is. I think it's a stupid way of doing it - but yeah - that's how they do it - so we have to abide by it.

Also it is stupid because we will have to do homework on courses we are potentially dropping.

No, as long as you have finished all your preliminary work then it is fine.
Uhh... starting HSC is against Board of Studies policy...

I looked over the W=mg section in the Space module in Physics.
That's only the 1st dotpoint. Is that all you're gonna do :)

First dot point actually is "define weight as the force on an object due to a gravitational field"... =P Not quite W=mg

What do you mean, my explanation is:
Weight as the Force (W) on an object (m) due to a gravitational field (g)
Which is W=mg
W= weight in N
m= mass in kg
g= acceleration due to gravity in m/s

Yeah it is - like the school had to lie and said I completed the prelims for maths - when I technically didn't - just so I could sit the HSC this year.
No wonder my English teacher was being disapproving of not starting belonging last week of term :p

LOL - but you've completed prelims already - I think once you've completed all assessments and have done 100% of your assessments for year 11 - you've finished.

Technically, we learnt a bit of 4U Maths (Polynomials) at the end of Yr 10. But it was just as filler, as we had nothing to do after the School Cert.
