no, if you're unable to finish the paper it'd be stupid to start at q8.

start at the start.... much better, try and get teh most marks you can in questions 1-6 then do the easy ones first in 7 and 8.

Righto then, throw away that idea.
Any suggestions of ways to save time?

if a solution is becoming too tedious, move on.

sometimes its better to not write than write and have no idea what yuo're doing.

also, use your reading time effectively, look at the harder section of the test questions 6-8 and decide which questions you are more confident with, i.e you can score the most marks in and do those first, and do the ones your less confident with after

Work quicker. Know ur stuff and it becomes quicker. Do past papers get used to the questions so you dont have to decipher the questions. As they said if you arnt getting anywhere move on.

it's funny what the human brain thinks of when things become desperate.

No. Its so much easier to earn marks in the first few question than the last few.

Why would you waste time trying to get the hard marks, when you can easily get the easy marks at the begining?

that makes no sense at all, even if ur really really good, u shudn't start from the last few questions....the first questions are worth just as much as are easier

the way i have done it all year is give yourself 20min per question. Go fast through the first questions, 1-5 and try and give yourself extra. When it comes to 6,7,8 stick to the 20 mins and look for the parts you can do. Even if u take exactly 20min for each question u still will have 20min spare. In that time find the parts of questions u didn't answer, look at how much each is worth and go for the ones u think u have a better shot at getting that has worked well for me all year
