hmm.
a good and a bad thing in one.

i'd like a course in the high nineties so i would push myself to actually study.

Not really true watatank. UAI's at UC aren't overly high to start with, but uai's for all courses plummetted everywhere last year due to a couple of factors (less people applying for uni and more places). Prior to this year the UAI for sports media was around 80, and it seems to be a reasonably popular course. I know being at UC that a lot of people travel from far out places actually to study Sports Media, as it is pretty much the only course of its type within Australia. If I ask someone where are they from and they say somewhere like Brisbane or Adelaide (or even New Zealand on a few occasions) chances are they're studying sports media. At the same time, a course like this (especially due to the fact that many city spooks don't like to leave home) is never going to have an extremely high UAI.
