Can someone (apart from Dingo2004) please clarify this. I am doing SoSc in Criminology, I need 240 Units of Credit to complete the course.

-I gain 20 Units from completing core Social Science Units

-I gain another 40 units from the foundation pool of subjects

- I gain a further 80 units from the specialisation in criminology

That is what I need to complete criminology, but I only have 140 units of credit, where do the extra 100 come from, do I need to do a sub-majors, like psychology?

yes, but within those 100 units, if I do the required psychology subjects, can I graduate with a psych specialisation too.

yes, the electives you choose are what makes up your submajor. Tho you can decide not to have a sub-major and this allows you to take any electives.

Sub-majors usually mean so many core subjects at both level 1 and level 2/3 and also a selection of courses out of that majors elective pool.
